Busyness

Most of us use the infamous “To Do List”  in order to help organize our lives.  However, have you ever considered creating a “Don’t Do List.”  What are you doing right now that doesn’t need to be in your schedule?  What activity or task are you doing just because someone asked you to do it?  Busyness is often the enemy of holiness.  In his book Weird Craig Groeschel says, “you have enough time to do everything God wants you to do.”  Have you ever wrestled with the question of “what does God really want me to do?”  I encourage you to use that clarifying question regularly.  In heaven I doubt that I will wish that I spent more time in meetings.  I think mostly I’ll be celebrating the small part I had helping many come to know and follow Jesus Christ.   Let’s spend our time intentionally as the precious resource that it is.

Under His Mercy,

Derek Dickinson, Minister
