Freedom Realized

January 1, 1863 is a profound day in U.S. History.  On that day slavery in the Confederate States was ended.  Around 4 million people had lived their entire lives as slaves and now they were declared to be free!  Yet, what happened on January 2?  How many legal slaves were there in the Confederate states?  None.  But practically how many slaves were still there?  Millions!  Positional freedom doesn’t matter if a person doesn’t know about it, believe it and act on it.  In A.D. 33 sinful humanity was offered freedom from the final consequences of sin and death, and yet today thousands of years later billions still live in bondage.  Please place your trust in the cross of Christ.  Accept the freedom that he offers.  Confess Him as your Lord and Savior.  Go to a local church and receive Christian baptism.  Learn to walk in freedom and holiness.  This is a limited time offer.
