Spiritual GPS

How do we find our sweet spot in life?  Where can we serve and spend our time most effectively for God’s kingdom?   In the book One Month To Life by Kerry & Chris Shook they talk about the GPS that our Creator puts in each of us.  Of course they don’t mean our Global Positioning System but our Gifts, Passion and Struggles.  The combination of these give us a good indication of where we will serve most effectively.  For example, take a man who has the spiritual gift of teaching and passion to see people living in freedom who years ago struggled with a porn addiction.  His sweet spot of service could be leading a men’s ministry or a porn recovery group.  Think through your own life, what gifts has God given you?  What are you passionate about?  Who do you most want to help?  The homeless, the indebted, those struggling in their marriages, the handicapped?  Where have your struggled in the past.  The most effective person is generally the one who can say with credibility “I’ve been there.”  So today ask yourself where does my GPS say I should be?
